Dear CNN
Executives
I
understand that J. Richard Cohen wrote in a letter "Respectable news
organizations should not employ reporters willing to peddle racist
conspiracy theories and false propaganda." I admire his integrity. I would
like to add to that statement by saying that respectable news organizations
should instead employ reporters willing to follow every lead, investigate
every discrepancy, report the facts and nothing but, regardless of their
personal feelings about the outcomes of their investigations.
Congressional hearings were
held to examine Sen. John McCain's Panamanian birth to confirm that he was
indeed constitutionally eligible to be president as a "natural born
citizen," according to the Constitution of the United States. Oddly, there
were no hearings to confirm Senator Barack Obama's eligibility, even though
there were discrepancies and irregularities surrounding his birth.
President
Barack Obama's resolution to spend close to a million dollars to quash his
state birth certificate and other
documentation from public scrutiny should send red flags
high into the air for all Americans, but JOURNALISTS especially should be
investigating, reporting, asking questions. Instead they insult anyone who
legitimately asks for our President to practice the transparency he promised
us on the campaign trail. This whole controversy, if nothing else, is a
distraction from more important issues.
A great
deal of energy as well as money is being spent asking questions to which the
President could quickly put an end. The fact that he is allocating
gargantuan resources to avoid answering tells any intelligent person that he
is hiding information. "Journalists" should be the last to accept this.
Yet CNN "journalists" ridicule anyone who even asks.
Obama's
birth certificate is not the only document at issue. By his own admission
he traveled to Karachi, Pakistan in 1981 when only muslims were permitted
entry into the country. He could not have done so with an American
passport. So, what country issued that passport? Does he hold dual
citizenship between the United States and that country? Does he even hold
U.S. citizenship. These are legitimate questions for which American voters
should have the answers. Legitimate journalists should be asking them,
relentlessly if necessary.
Up until
recently, CNN was my news source of choice. Two things happened to change
my mind and now my choice for news is FOX. The first thing was Anderson
Cooper and all the CNN "journalists" insulting, denigrating and distorting
instead of reporting the T.E.A. (taxed enough already) Parties that took
place all across America on April 15th. Even if they had given NO coverage,
it would have been wrong, because those were news-worthy events. The second
thing is Lou Dobbs being berated for asking the legitimate question "Where's
the birth certificate?" He should also be asking, as should any respectable
journalist and/or news organization, "Where are the passport, the college
records and the adoption records?".
CNN is
obviously not a respectable news organization. It has become government
sponsored propaganda. I would expect this from third world countries,
corrupt governments or communist nations. Oh, wait! That's what Obama's
dream for America is. You go, CNN! How will you like it when nobody can
afford cable? How will you like it when nobody can afford electricity?
Pretty soon you're going to find out, and sadly, your corrupt "news
organization" will be largely responsible.
